I then added in an image of Doc Marten shoes to the bottom hand corner of my contents page. I took a picture specifically of these shoes as they stick to my colour scheme as they have a black base, and hints of gold and dark red. They were an image of one of the artist featured on my double page spread and I felt that it made the page look a bit more different in comparison to my competitor magazines. I felt that by going against convention it made my magazine more unique and quirky.
I also added another image in the bottom right corner. I used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out the image and I neatened up the edges to make it look more professional like my competitor magazines. I chose for my artist to wear a gold necklace to look like a stereotypical hip-hop/rap artist and the gold sticks to my colour scheme. I also chose for her to wear a black bomber jacket because that too sticks to my colour scheme. I chose a mid shot of my artist because I felt that it made her more direct than a long shot.
