I chose to add my photo next to my front cover along with my stand first.
Firstly, I added my photo because I felt it helped to shape the page and allow me to see what needs to be added next. By doing this it allowed me to picture all the things I needed to make it appear like a professional magazine. The position chosen for my model with his arms folded and a slight tilt to the right with his head makes him appear to the reader like a stereotypical rap/hip-hop artist. However, it is also evident that his look isn't like an ordinary rapper - a typical rapper would be black, gold chains, sunglasses, baseball cap and distressed baggy jeans. therefore I chose to do this to show that anyone can be a rapper.
Secondly, I chose to add my stand first next. Originally I chose to place it beneath the masthead, however I felt it wasn't visible enough and was hidden by the featured artist so I decided to move it above. I chose the colour of dark red for this section if text to match my survey's chosen colour scheme and following the scheme throughout my magazine would create a professional vibe and a strong mise-on-scene.
